JIMS, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, has come a long way since it was established in 2003 as an affiliated institute of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. What began as an institute with a few programmes like BJMC and BAAC (FAD), has since matured and grown into an institution with three Bachelor’s degree programmes in Business Administration, Computer Application and Mass Communication, each running in two shifts and admitting 120 students in each shift of BBA and 60 students in each shift of BCA and BJ(MC).
The institute has also earned the distinction of being the first institute of the university to have been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru for its commitment to high quality standards of education. The institute has been accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC, Bengaluru. This places the college in the top 5 percent of colleges in the country. Also, the institute has is among the only four HEIs in Delhi NCR to have been placed in the 150-300 Band and above. The institute has also earned ISO 9001:2015 quality certification from QUAY Audit, UK Limited, for setting quality benchmarks in teaching-learning and support systems of education. It is as a result of these efforts that the students of the institute have been outshining others in the university exams.
The BBA Program of the college has been awarded as the 16th Best in the country in the India Today Survey 2023 and the BCA Program as the 20th Best in the country in the same survey.
