About Institute
Established in 2003 as an affiliated college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, the institute has made rapid strides in the area of imparting quality higher education at the undergraduate level to emerge as one of the topmost colleges of the university. The college has been awarded the highest grade not only by the Joint Assessment Committee of the University and the Govt. of NCT of Delhi but also by the University Academic Audit Committee, successively for the last over 5 years. Besides, the State Fee Regulatory Committee of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi has also awarded the institute +A, the highest grade, for its quality systems. To cap it all, the institute has also been awarded ‘A+’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bengaluru. Apart from these governmental recognitions and accreditations, the institute has also fared exceedingly well in the estimation of non-governmental Third Party assessing agencies.

As a part of its efforts to keep innovating and retaining its competitive edge over other educational institutions, the Institute has also established Institution Innovation Council, under the auspices of the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education. The institute has been awarded 4-4.5 Stars out of 5 by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, for last three years for its Institution Innovation Council achievements. The institute has also become a Participant Signatory to the Ten Principles of UN Global Compact (UNGC) and also a Participant in the UNGC’s UN Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
As a part of its community responsibility, the institute has been working with a number of governmental and non-governmental departments and agencies for the uplift of the community. For the popularization of Mathematics in the neighbourhood community, JIMS Community Radio has been producing and broadcasting Radio Mathematics programmes under the Radio Mathematics Project of the Dept. of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Recently, JIMS made history when it tied with Harward Business School Online to offer niche programmes in Management to JIMS students on exclusive basis.
Computer Labs
Institute provides state-of-art computing facilities to its students through its well-equipped Labs. The Labs have clusters based on Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 2012 Servers, configured with Software such as C, C++, Visual Studio 2010, .Net, RedHat, JDK,and Oracle 11g. We also have many types of software for Mass Communication Adobe CS5 Master Collection, Adobe Creative Cloud with Indesign and Photoshop, Quark Express, PageMaker, Flash, Corel Draw etc. The Internet content security at JIMS is provided by latest Sophos Firewall which has policies implemented for various website and download filtering. The entire network of JIMS is further protected by Antivirus Software a full featured and well equipped program that is geared towards keeping network free of Viruses and spywares. The department has fully functioning labs covering: - DBMS, Computer Organization, Networking, Multi-media, Hardware, Software Engineering, LINUX - RHEL 5.0, .NET, Oracle 11g ,Adobe Master Collection (CS5) ,Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Quark Express 2023,Corel Draw 2022, Microsoft Volume Licensing (VLSC) for Latest MS Office and Operating Systems software, Dedicated iMac Lab with FCP The Institute has over 230 Core i3/ Core i5 Computer Systems and Notepad for Faculty members, which are fully networked, Wi-Fi enabled campus and have the latest software as prescribed by GGSIPU. The computer labs are air-conditioned, with adequate UPS backup, and have a 24 hours 'Internet Lease Line' facility through a 50 Mbps Internet connection.
Mass Comm. Labs
An Audio-Visual studio has been established for various purposes of shooting i.e.- Live, anchoring, Panel discussion, Interview, Group discussion, etc. Editing room is equipped with the latest Non Linear editing system (E-Mac) . Students are learning NLE on Final cut pro pinnacle software .In studio latest 3CCD professional grade video camera is used for different shoots. Separate Audio studios have been developed for radio program production. Audio studio is fully equipped with digital audio workstation (DAW) and also supported by integrated DAW’s system. JIMS has been running a community radio station successfully.
Cafeteria
The institute has an exclusive cafeteria for students where they can have snacks and food during off hours. The institute seen to it that the food served in hygienic and at subsidized rates. Also the college has set up a Nescafe Outlet for those desirous of having fast food which is hygienic.
Smart Classrooms
All the classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors and computer systems. All classrooms are well furnished and fully air-conditioned.
WiFi Campus
The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with a high speed internet connection to allow the students and faculty to access the internet. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to class rooms but also extends to all the areas including library, cafeteria etc. The campus is also very well connected with Bus routes and Metro Rail connectivity.
Conference Hall
The conference hall is an ultra-modern and well equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and presentation tools to facilitate smooth presentations. The air conditioned Conference Hall has a seating capacity of 30 people.
